This page explains the terms of use on which we operate our website and how you can use the website. By accessing and/or using the website, you accept these Terms and agree to be bound by them, and an agreement is formed between us and you.

These Terms may be amended at any time without notice and your access to this website may be terminated at any time without notice. Your continued use of the website following any amendment of these Terms will represent an agreement by you to be bound by these Terms as amended.

We recommend you review the Terms for amendments each time you use the website and before placing any Order. Whilst we are under no obligation to do so, should we choose to provide you with notice of amended Terms, you agree to receive email notification of the amendments from us. Our website is controlled and operated in Ireland. Any terms and conditions concerning the usage of this website will be governed by Irish Law. If you do not agree or abide by the Terms and Conditions associated with the use of the website, we recommend that you stop using www.horsecare.ie immediately.

  1. Guests and Registered Users

You may access and/or use the website as a guest or as a member. To become a member of the website, you must provide your name and address, telephone number, a valid email address, and nominate a password. If you do not provide accurate and complete details, we may not be able to activate your membership or supply goods or services to you. You agree to keep your membership details current at all times by accessing your account via the website. You will receive an email from us as soon as practicable after you create your membership account. We only permit one registration per email address.

You must not use another member’s account without permission.

You must keep your password secure as you are responsible for any activity on your account. You agree to notify us immediately if you become aware of any security breach or any unauthorised use of your password or account.

If you forget your password you may click on the relevant link located on the website and we will email you a new password.

We reserve the right to terminate a member’s account without notice for any reason whatsoever including without limitation if you have breached or we suspect you have breached these Terms.

  1. Legal Capacity

You must be eighteen (18) years of age or over to register as a member of the website or purchase goods from the website.

Any Order and/or purchase made by you using this website is an acknowledgment by you that:
(a) you are over the age of eighteen (18) years.
(b) you accept these Terms.
(c) you agree that you have entered into a legal contract with Horsecare in relation to these Terms.
(d) these Terms, together with your Order, constitute the entire agreement between you and Horsecare for the supply of goods or services.

Horsecare reserves the right to take legal action and seek compensation from the parent or guardian of a minor who causes an Order to be placed, for any loss or damage of any kind Horsecare may suffer as a result of a transaction entered into by a minor.

We recommend you carefully preview any proposed Orders before adding them to your shopping cart and proceeding with your Order.

Once an Order has been accepted by Horsecare, no cancellation of that Order is valid unless you receive our written communication permitting the cancelled Order.

Representations of goods or services for sale made by Horsecare via the website do not constitute an offer to sell but an invitation to treat.

You and Horsecare may enter into a contract for the sale and supply of goods or services by you making an offer via the website to purchase goods at the price advertised on the website by:

(a) placing an electronic Order for the goods or services using the website.
(b) you confirming the Order details in accordance with the procedure on the website.
(c) you making payment in full (plus any applicable delivery and handling charges) on the website.
(d) the acceptance of that offer by Horsecare.

When entering into a sale contract via the website, you will be taken to have communicated your offer to purchase the good(s) or services only when:

(a) any and all requirements set out in these Terms have been met.
(b) the electronic instruction containing the offer from you enters and is recorded in our database.
(c) a record is created and stored in our database.
(d) Horsecare receives in its account full payment from you for the goods or services (including any applicable delivery and handling charges) and confirmation of that payment is received by our database.

You acknowledge that:
(a) the transmission of your offer or the confirmation of any payment, made through an electronic instruction may not be received by Horsecare for reasons beyond either parties’ reasonable control including but not limited to, electronic failure, mechanical, software, computer, or telecommunications failure, or the omission or failure of third party website providers or systems.
(b) to the fullest extent permitted by law, Horsecare is not liable to you in any way for any loss or damage of any kind, however caused, arising directly or indirectly in connection with the transmission of an electronic instruction through the website, or any failure to receive an electronic instruction for whatever reason.
(c) Horsecare may act on and process all completed electronic instructions transmitted or issued through the website without further consent from or reference to you.
(d) Horsecare may treat an electronic instruction as authentic and is under no obligation to investigate the authenticity or authority of persons issuing or transmitting such electronic instructions, or to verify the accuracy and completeness of such electronic instructions.

  1. Products and Pricing

We take every care to ensure that product descriptions are accurate at the time of uploading products to the website. We reserve the right to withdraw any product from the website without any prior notification. Whilst we make every effort to provide relevant and accurate product information, photography, imagery, and to represent colours etc. correctly. We cannot guarantee that it is always accurate. Products may display differently depending on the device used by the customer.

Goods sold are subject to availability and may sell out and may not be repeated. In circumstances, where customers have an item(s) in their shopping basket and have yet to complete payment, should the item go out of stock before payment is completed, we fulfil orders based on the first order received.

The prices shown are in Euro and include VAT where applicable. We also reserve the right to amend the prices of products without prior notification. We make every effort to ensure pricing on our website is correct, however, errors can occur. If we identify a pricing error on an order, we will contact you and give you the option to cancel the order or to reconfirm the order at the correct price. In instances where we are unable to make contact with you, we will cancel the order of items sold.

All prices shown on our website are inclusive of VAT at the rate appropriate for the product type.

  1. Ordering Goods

Our display of products on our website is an invitation and not an offer to sell those goods to you. You may only place an order on our website if you are legally capable of entering a binding contract with us and if you are the authorised cardholder or account holder. When an order is placed on our website, you will receive a confirmation email acknowledging we have received your order and it is being processed. The onus is on you the customer to enter your correct email address, contact number and postal information at the time of order. Please take care to enter details accurately as a wrong entry of contact information may result in an individual receiving your order details.

All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to cancel an order in certain circumstances:

  • Product(s) ordered are out of stock,
  • Item(s) subject to a delay or we cannot fulfil
  • Price error identified
  • Product wrongly described or fault identified
  • Payment not authorised or failed payment validation checks

In an instance where an order or an item from the order is cancelled, we will try to contact you via the email address or telephone number you provided when placing your order. If we cannot contact you or if we receive no response to our email, we will continue to process any remaining products on your order. We will not supply a replacement product without your authorisation. We reserve the right to courier items in a single order separately.

We will send a second email confirming your order has been dispatched with a tracking number where applicable. Only when you receive the confirmation email detailing the items which have been displaced is the completion of the sale of goods contract between us and you.

  1. Payments

Stripe is the online payment gateway provider for Horsecare.

8. Delivery

The delivery address must be an address within Ireland and cannot be a freight forwarding location. Deliveries cannot be made to PO Boxes or Parcel Motels. You will be required to be available in person to accept delivery of your Order. The successful delivery of your order relies on you inputting the correct shipping address and contact information when completing your order on our website. This includes inputting the full name, full address including door numbers, street names, and eircodes/postcodes. Please include your contact landline or mobile number and an email address which you review regularly. When we receive orders that do not provide adequate and accurate information, we cannot deliver goods in the specified times outlined below. The onus is on you the customer to enter accurate delivery information at the time of order, we cannot be held responsible for orders going missing or delayed due to incomplete delivery information.

In instances where customers do not select the correct delivery method, we will contact the customer to pay outstanding postage costs.

We offer FREE delivery on purchases over €100. We charge €6.95 postage for purchases less than €100 or the actual cost if greater. Products highlighted as heavy goods on the website are subject to an additional Heavy Goods surcharge. We charge €12.00 to deliver heavy items. All orders received before 1 pm Monday to Thursday should be received by the customer within 48 hours. Orders placed on a Friday and over the weekend will be dispatched on a Monday for delivery on Wednesday.

We will endeavour to deliver your Order within any stated timeframes for dispatch, however, we do not warrant that these timeframes will always be met , as many factors may affect these timeframes. Horsecare cannot and will not accept responsibility for delivery failures or delays by our third-party delivery courier.

Our chosen courier partner is DPD registered delivery service. For all parcels dispatched with DPD, the recipient will receive a notification via email and/or a text message to their mobile to confirm the goods have been dispatched along with a track and trace number. You can check the status of your order on www.dpd.ie.

You are required to inspect your goods when you take delivery of them. You will be required to note any damage on the delivery documentation which is presented to you by the courier for signature. In all other cases, you will be required to notify us in writing of any damage on delivery or shortages within three ( 3 ) days of delivery. We will not be liable for any damage on delivery to any of the goods unless we are notified with the time period specified above.

  1. Order Cancellation

If you have placed an order and for whatever reason you want to cancel the order, please contact us at info@horsecare.ie. We aim to get goods dispatched to customers swiftly so it may only be possible to cancel an order before being dispatched. 

  1. Returns & Exchange Policy 

We are happy to offer a refund if the item is unsuitable within 14 days of receipt of your order. The product you return must be in new, unused, and unworn condition with all tags attached and in original packaging. It is our policy to return goods to the purchaser if we suspect that any product has been used or worn.  All dispatched orders will include order confirmation documentation which details how to return items. When returning items that included a promotional gift, this must also be returned with the returned goods or specific related products.  

This policy does not affect your statutory rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods or your right to cancel orders under consumer protection. All dispatched orders will include an order confirmation form outlining your purchase details, our contact details, and our return address. Please insert the original order form or a copy of the form in the returned parcel, without this we may not be able to track your details.

Following an inspection of the returned goods and after your return has been processed you will be refunded the amount due through the original method of payment, excluding the original postage charge paid by you, if relevant.

You should expect to see the refund in your account within 5-10 working days from receipt of the return confirmation Credit Memo email; however, some banks may take longer. If you do not receive your refund to your account after 10 working days, please contact us at info@horsecare.ie

The graphics, text, images, videos, information, and visual display contained on the website are protected by copyright laws. All and any Intellectual Property Rights in the products are owned by us or our suppliers. All such rights are reserved.

  1. Your Opinion Matters to Us

Your opinion matters to us and helps us to continually improve. To help us better understand your shopping experience on our website we have partnered with a third-party review collection and management provider Trustpilot. Following the completion of your order on our website, we will send you an email to rate us out of 5 stars. Any review left is owned by you, and we do not have access to delete or amend. Please do not post a review that is dishonest, harmful, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, or obscene.
